1. About this Portal

The CPD Portal is operated by ICBT Campus under a sub-domain of icbt.lk, for the purpose of managing registrations, payments, and certification for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events organised for Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Construction, and related professional audiences.

2. Eligibility to Register

Registration is open to both internal participants (current ICBT students, alumni/graduates) and external participants.

• Internal participants must verify their identity using their Student ID and NIC. Successful verification allows free registration for the event.
• If verification is unsuccessful, the participant may register instead as an external participant by completing the paid registration process, or may choose not to proceed.
• Alumni/graduates are treated as internal participants and are eligible for free registration. Students whose enrolment is inactive or has been discontinued (dropped) are not eligible for free internal registration and must register as external participants.
• External participants are required to pay the applicable event fee to complete registration.

3. Registration and Fees

• There is no seat limit for CPD events hosted on this portal, as these are conducted online.
• Fees for external participants are displayed on the event listing page at the time of registration and are payable in USD (or other currencies as may be enabled from time to time) through the portal's online payment gateway.
• All fees are exclusive of any bank, card issuer, or currency conversion charges that may be applied by the participant's payment provider.
• A confirmation email will be sent upon successful registration and/or payment, which will include the link to join the session (e.g., Microsoft Teams).

4. Payments

• Payments are processed through a third-party payment gateway. ICBT does not store card details on its own servers.
• Registration is confirmed only once payment has been successfully processed for external participants.
• Refunds, if applicable, will be considered only in accordance with ICBT's refund policy for CPD events, details of which may be requested by contacting the CPD team.

5. Attendance, Engagement, and Certification

• Participants are expected to attend and actively engage throughout the session. Engagement may be monitored through periodic prompts or similar mechanisms during the session.
• E-Certificates will be issued only to participants who are verified as having genuinely attended and engaged in the session.
• Registered participants may request to resend/re-download their certificate after the event via the portal.
• Certificates issued through this portal may include a QR code for verification purposes.

6. Use of the Portal

• Participants agree to provide accurate and truthful information at the point of registration, including area of interest, highest educational qualification, and any other details requested.
• The portal, including event listings, banners, logos, and related content, is the property of ICBT Campus and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.
• ICBT reserves the right to amend event details, reschedule, or cancel a CPD session, in which case registered participants will be notified and, where applicable, offered a refund or transfer to another session.

7. Limitation of Liability

ICBT Campus will make reasonable efforts to ensure the CPD portal and events are delivered as described, but does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform or the online session, including due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (e.g. internet connectivity, third-party platform outages).

8. Changes to these Terms

ICBT Campus may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the portal constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
